That is almost a knee jerk response after a breakup. “I want my ex back”. But more importantly the question that needs to be answered is what should you do if you are saying the sentence “ I want my ex back”?
Okay, first of all you need to learn about what you shouldn’t do before you can even begin thinking about getting back your ex. After a breakup, people are in an emotional state and usually do things that end up hurting their chances of getting their ex back. Here are a few things that you absolutely must avoid if you are the one saying “I want my ex back”.
2. TRYING TO PERSUADE THEM WITH LOGIC: Your ex has made a decision to break up with you. This means that no matter how much sense it makes for you two to be together, they will not accept it. 3. BECOMING A DOORMAT: Did you say to your ex that you will do anything for them? Are you ready to become a doormat? The doormat syndrome in a relationship is dangerous and if you really want to have a happy and long lasting relationship with your ex, make sure you are not falling for this syndrome.
To get your ex back, you need an action plan that you can follow. In essence, the action plan consists of the following.
1. Stopping Communication with your ex for a short period of time.
2. Working on you. Becoming a better person and regaining composure and poise which you’ve probably lost after the breakup.
3. Contacting your ex after the no contact period and sweep your ex off their feet.

I have been following your emails with great interest. I split up with my ex about a month ago but have been still living together, i move out tomorrow.
